Find me on:
Plantronics headset echo is one of the most common troubleshooting questions that we get asked. Whether you use a Plantronics wireless office headset or a Plantronics wired office headset, this is a very common question.

Echo in a Plantronics CS500 series headset is caused when volumes are to high between your phone, charging base and headset.

In this blog, I will teach you exactly how to fix echo in your Plantronics CS530 (C053), CS510, CS520 (C052) or CS540 (C054) wireless headset.

#1 Change settings back to manufacture default

#2 Turn your telephone volume down to 50%

#3 Change your compatibility setting

If you're plugging your Plantronics headset into a telephone with a HEADSET port, then you might need to change your compatibility switch depending on the telephone you have.

#4 Adjust your volumes back up as needed

Leave your telephone volume at 50-60% volume. At this point  if your hearing volume is ideal for you, then leave these settings as is! If you need more volume, start by increasing the volume on your headset. If that doesn't give you enough volume then adjust the icon of a speaker up on the bottom of your Plantronics charging base until calls are loud and clear to you.

Note: the icon of a microphone on the bottom of your charging base is your only control to increase or decrease how loud a caller hears you.

#5 Say goodbye to echo!

The Plantronics headset echo should now be gone and your calls should be crystal clear again. If the Plantronics headset echo still exists, contact us today and we will be glad to help you further.
