Find me on:

On average your Plantronics CS50 or Plantronics CS55 battery should last you 1-2 years. In some case, our customers get 5-10 years out of their battery!  If you start noticing your headset is no longer holding a charge like it use to, there's no need to replace the headset. Instead replace the battery and your headset will be refreshed again. Follow our Plantronics CS50 battery replacement and Plantronics CS55 battery replacement guide below.

Step 1

All in one motion, pinch both sides of the battery door cover, wiggle and pull. Sometimes these battery door covers are a pain to take off. I'm glad they fixed this issue with the updated Plantronics CS540. If your battery door cover is still being stubborn, using a paperclip to get under the cover is helpful.

Step 2

Remove your old battery from the compartment and unplug it from the white post. Take your new Plantronics CS50 or CS55 battery and install it the same way the old battery was removed. Make sure the cord fits in the insert, so no wires get pinched from installing the battery door cover back on.

Step 3

Place the bottom end of the battery door cover on first. Then rest the top into place and you should hear it snap. Your Plantronics CS50 replacement battery or Plantronics CS55 replacement battery is now installed. Let your headset charge for atleast 1 hour and you're back to staying hands free.

After your new battery is installed and fully charged, if you hear a triple beep and your headset won't turn on, follow our Plantronics CS50 pairing and Plantronics CS55 pairing guide
