#1 Low battery warning
If you're on a call and you hear a beep tone every 15 seconds, then your headset is indicating a low battery. If you've had your headset around 1-2 years and you notice it doesn't hold a charge like it use to, then most likely the battery needs to be replaced. If you're not on a phone call and you press the on/off button on your headset, you will hear a 3 beep tone which is telling you your battery needs to be recharged. Links to battery replacement guides below.
When you mute or unmute your microphone you will hear hear three high beep tones (you will still be able to hear caller). When you press the same button to turn mute off, you will hear three low beep tones.
#3 Out of range beep tones
If you're on a phone call and go to far away from your Plantronics c052, c054, c053 or W02 charging base, then you will hear 3 low beep tones. Once you're back in range you will hear a single mid tone.
If you stay out of range longer than 5 minutes, the call will get cut off.
If you're not on a phone call and go out of range and you press the on/off button, you will hear a single beep tone, then three low beep tones for failure to make a link to the base.
#1 Volume adjustment
When you adjust your volume up or down on your earpiece or headset, you will hear a different beep tone for volume up and volume down.
3 mid beep tones means your headset is muted. 3 low beep tones means your headset is unmuted. This beep tone will repeat every 15 seconds when your microphone is muted. You will still be able to hear the caller but the caller wont be able to hear you.
#3 Turning on or off the headset
Every time you turn on or off your headset you will hear a mid beep tone, letting you know the button has been pressed.
#4 Low battery warning
When your battery starts to get low, you will hear 1 beep tone every 10 seconds. If you've had your headset for over a year and start to notice your battery not last as long as it use to, then most likely you need to replace your battery. Follow our Plantronics CS50/CS55 battery replacement guide.
#5 Out of range warning
When you move to far away from your Plantronics charging base, you will hear 2 beep tones telling you to get back in range or else the connection will be lost.
#6 Incoming call
If you have an HL10 Handset Lifter or EHS cable, then everytime your phone rings you will receive a 3 repetitive beep tone in your headset. This lets you know your phone is ringing and at that point you can answer the call from your headset.
